In the first instalment of the epic 1000km journey from Mali's capital city of Bamako, Onuora stops in the ancient trading city of Djenne to learn about its Great Mosque and Manuscripts.

From there he travels on to Bandiagara to spend time with the Dogon people whose discovery of Sirius B dates back thousands of years.
